His recent $3,000,000.00 settlement against the San Bernardino Public Defenders Office was widely covered by the news as well.

Attorney Wayne C. Smith has received numerous multiple million-dollar verdicts and awards for wrongful termination, harassment, retaliation, and discrimination matters. His $23,000,000.00 verdict in Bakersfield in 2022 on an elder abuse case was the third largest verdict for elder abuse in the State of California. Our employment cases have been reported to be among the largest in the State at the time. These include a trial verdict against the South Gate Police Department in excess of $10,000,000.00 for officers who were victims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Our trial verdicts and settlements against the Beverly Hills Police Department exceed $8,000,000.00.
