A contestant from new dating show Naked Attraction, who showcased his rather intimate tattoo, says it “wasn't awkward at all” appearing nude on TV.

Former stripper Matty Roche showed off his elephant tattoo which is across his privates – but viewers have said the show left them feeling “uncomfortable".

The show, which is hosted by Anna Richardson, sees one person faced with six bodies and they can only see their shoulders to their toes.

They then have to choose their favourite body and explain why.

However, viewers have been tweeting their disapproval for the show.

Matty told the Liverpool Echo: 'It’s not sexual, it’s just being comfortable in your own skin. It’s the way we’re all born.”

He did however say he was initially unsure about doing the show, but thought it could help his acting career: “I was already in London doing some immersive theatre and I thought why not?

“It was going to be handled tastefully and I think it was actually quite scientific.'

He did admit he'd had a mixed reaction from friends and family, saying his parents were “quite disappointed” in him: “I don’t think they’ve watched the programme but I think they’d be more understanding if they did, I’m sure they’d be OK with it.”

He also blasted critics of the show: “We live in a society that’s becoming more sexualised and this show displayed nakedness in a way that was less superficial and people are complaining about it.”

Watched #NakedAttraction. Hated it. On the plus side, watching it while eating will help you lose weight, so there's always that. #protip

Another tweeted: “Why anyone would go on that Naked Attraction show is beyond me.”

While another said: “#NakedAttraction is making me feel so uncomfortable”
